Background Information: | Endothelin 1 is an endothelium derived vasoconstrictive peptide produced in vascular endothelial cells. It is one of the three isoforms of endothelin, and a potent agonist of the endothelin receptors type A and type B (EDNRA/ETA and EDNRB/ETB). Widely expressed in all tissues, and responsible for maintenance of vascular tone. Inhibitors and antagonists are used to treat pulmonary hypertension. Provided as 10 μg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer. |
