Background Information: | The PathHunter® U2OS SREBP2 Nuclear Translocation Cell Line is a stable, engineered cell line for use in studying drug candidates affecting the cholesterol biosynthesis pathway. This cell line enables assessment of ligand (e.g. 5'-UMP) based pathway activation via detection of resulting SREBP2 nuclear translocation. This product uses EFC technology. The included cell line overexpresses PL-tagged SREBP2 and nuclear localized EA. Upon pathway activation, induced nuclear translocation of SREBP2 leads to production of EFC signal. This stable modified cell line is provided as two vials of cryopreserved cells. |
