Background Information: | Bone morphogenetic protein 7 (BMP-7) is a signaling protein and member of the TGFβ superfamily that induces cartilage and bone formation, particularly osteoblast differentiation. BMP-7 is expressed in the brain, kidneys and bladder, and has roles in calcium regulation, bone homeostasis, and epithelial osteogenesis. Inhibits TGF-β cascade-induced fibrosis and biases tissues toward mesenchymal-epithelial transition. Provided as 10 μg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer. |
