Background Information: | CCL13 is a cytokine protein involved in the induction of chemotaxis in monocytes, as well as eosinophils, T lymphocytes, and basophils, by acting as an agonist for cell surface receptors like CCR2, CCR3, and CCR5. It plays a role in leukocyte accumulation during inflammation. Activity of this protein has been linked to asthma and atopic dermatitis, and can be induced by the inflammatory cytokines, including interleukin-1 and TNF-α. Provided as 5 μg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer. |
