Background Information: | Human growth hormone (HGH, GH, somatotropin) is a 191-amino acid peptide pituitary hormone that stimulates growth, cell reproduction, and regeneration. An agonist for GHR, it also regulates body composition, fluids, and sugar and fat metabolism. It is a stress hormone that increases glucose and fatty acid levels and stimulates the production of IGF-1. Can be used medically to treat growth disorders and GH deficiency. Has been abused by competitors for its anabolic properties, and is banned by the IOC and NCAA. Provided as 100 μg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer. |
