Background Information: | Interleukin 17A (IL-17, IL-17A) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine protein produced by activated T cells and the founding member of the IL-17 family. Potent mediator in delayed-type inflammatory reactions that increases chemokine production and recruits monocytes and neutrophils to sites of inflammation. Agonist of the interleukin receptor IL-17RA. High levels are associated with several chronic inflammatory diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and multiple sclerosis. Provided as 25 μg of dry powder alongside reconstitution buffer. |
