Background Information: | Tuberoinfundibular peptide of 39 residues (TIP 39) is a neuropeptide protein related to parathyroid hormone that is a potent and selective agonist of parathyroid hormone 2 receptor (PTH2R), resulting in adenyl cyclase activation and elevation of intracellular calcium levels. Also plays a role in protein kinase C beta activation, beta-arrestin recruitment, PTH2R internalization, cell proliferation inhibition, and possibly spermatogenesis and nociceptive circuit activation. Has little influence on PTH1R. Provided as 1 mg of dry powder. |
