Background Information: | Trichostatin A (TSA) is a naturally occurring antibiotic that inhibits the eukaryotic cell cycle during the growth stage. Potent and selective inhibitor of Class I and II histone deacetylases (HDAC, IC50=70nM for HDAC1), inhibiting removal of acetyl groups from histones and resulting in hyper-acetylation. Leads to chromatin relaxation and gene expression modulation. Provided as 5 mg of dry powder. |
