Recombinant Human IL-26

Interleukin 26 (IL-26) is a cytokine protein and intricate member of the immune response that is overexpressed in herpesvirus samimiri-transformed T cells, and thought to contribute to the transformed phenotype of T cells after herpesvirus infection. Roles in mucosal immunity and may be a pro-inflammatory. Inhibited by heparin, and may be implicated in inflammatory bowel disease.
