The Human Kinome is an artistic representation of the human kinome phylogenetic tree based on extensive published research and recently annotated to include lipid, atypical and clinically-relevant mutant kinases. For the eight protein kinase groups depicted in the main dendrogram and the Atypical kinases, sequences were derived from the Manning Kinome Paper (Manning, et al., Science, 1912-1934, 2002). For lipid kinases, the kinase catalytic domains were derived from the GenPept annotation (NCBI).
