Biological Information

Background Information:

The cAMP Hunter™ GIP RA Bioassay Kit provides a robust, and highly sensitive functional, cell-based assay to monitor 3’-5’-cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) production in cells, as a result of ligand mediated activation of GIP receptor. The bioassay kit contains all the materials needed for a complete assay, including cells, detection reagents, cell plating reagent, positive control agonist, and assay plates. The ready-to-use cryopreserved cells have been manufactured to ensure assay reproducibility and faster implementation from characterization to QC lot-release. This bioassay has been optimized for a 96-well format. Note that control agonist for stimulating the cells, GIP (Gastric inhibitory peptide), may not be included in the kit, and may be purchased separately.
