Background Information:

Gastric inhibitory polypeptide (GIP) is a secretin family endocrine peptide hormone produced in the small intestine that induces insulin secretion in a glucose-dependent manner and in response to eating. It also weakly inhibits gastric acid secretion. Acts as an agonist for GIPR. Provided as 0.5 mg of dry powder.
